Vacuum Pump Manufacturers

The vacuum pump is a device that uses various methods in a closed space to improve and maintain a vacuum. The vacuum pump is generally made from cast iron, but the in-use process often encounters conveying chemicals and high-temperature gas; the vacuum pump asks for resistance to corrosion and high temperature. This type of vacuum pump with stainless steel, ceramics, metal, and other unique materials to make the flow components can meet the requirements. In modern industrial production, many links to vacuum; vacuum pump as a kind of joint base type machinery is widely used in machinery, petroleum, chemical, electric power, pharmacy, food, ceramics, sugar, printing, dyeing, metallurgy, plastics, and other industries.

Design

Design of Vacuum Pumps

The basic vacuum pump assembly consists of one or more pumps, an inlet port and an outlet (exhaust) port. Some higher vacuum systems also feature metal chambers with metal gasket seals.

Vacuum pump components are typically made of tough, corrosion resistant materials such as stainless steel or titanium.

All vacuum pumps work by directing air out of an enclosure and preventing it from re-entering.

When designing a vacuum pump system, manufacturers consider several factors, including maximum and minimum flow rate, maximum and minimum vacuum level, required pump speed, dimensions of the enclosed space in which the vacuum system will go, and the type of liquid or gas to be manipulated by the vacuum system.

If they so choose, manufacturers of vacuum systems can develop unique configurations and operational procedures. For instance, while a more simple system will easily achieve a low vacuum, to achieve a high vacuum, manufacturers will have to design a system with a series of pumps, most often a fast pump and a positive displacement pump, as well as a chamber.

Advantages of Vacuum Pumps

Vacuum pumps make systems run more efficiently and they offer the advantage of atmospheric pressure control. In addition, vacuum pumps are able to evacuate gas better than any other method, including suction. Another advantage of vacuum pumps is the fact that they are so durable.

Vacuum pumping units

Vacuum pumping units consist of two or more pumps or stages using different technology, which are coupled or stacked together to increase capacity or take advantage of the features of each type.

Vacuum systems

Vacuum systems can include multiple pumps and associated piping, valves, controls, receivers, etc. These pumps can also indicate centralized vacuum sources for manufacturing or automation cells or plants.

Types of Vacuum Pumps

There are many types of vacuum pumps for various applications in numerous industries. Vacuum pumps work by removing and discharging gas or liquid from a sealed space, leaving behind a partial vacuum. The pressure differential created, gas or liquid removal rate, and power supply required may differ from one vacuum pump to the next.

Dry Screw Vacuum Pump

Dry screw vacuum pump, is the the pumping equipment that use a pair of screws, to perform synchronous high-speed reverse rotation in the pump casing to generate suction and exhaust, with advantage of low power consumption, energy saving, maintenance-free, etc.

Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump

The liquid ring vacuum pump’s rotor is installed eccentrically in the pump, and its rotation forces the working fluid to form an equal-thickness rotating liquid ring along the inner wall of the pump; the liquid ring and the rotor impeller together include a variable volume positive displacement vacuum pump.

Roots Vacuum Pump

Roots vacuum pump (also called mechanical vacuum booster), As the main pumping equipment to obtain medium and high vacuum, is a positive-displacement vacuum pump and an oil-free dry vacuum pump.

Applications

Application of Vacuum Pumps

Depending on the performance and characteristics of the vacuum pump, the type of used industry (application) for each vacuum pump is different:
1. liquid ring vacuum pump: Mainly used in vacuum concentration, vacuum dehydration, vacuum decolorization, vacuum drying, vacuum preservation, vacuum storage, vacuum conveying, vacuum forming, and other processes.
2. Mechanical vacuum pump: including rotary vane pump, slide vacuum pump(piston vacuum pump), etc. Suitable for vacuum distillation, vacuum drying, vacuum impregnation, vacuum sintering, vacuum brazing, vacuum coating, vacuum heat treatment, and other applications. The mechanical vacuum pump can also be used as a backing pump and has many applications.
3. Roots vacuum pump (mechanical booster pump): Suitable for vacuum drying, vacuum impregnation, vacuum sintering, vacuum brazing, vacuum coating, vacuum conveying, vacuum smelting, vacuum distillation, and other processes. Most Roots pumps cant directly exhaust to the atm and require a piston vacuum pump or oil-sealed vacuum pump to be used as a backing pump.

Vacuum for a Better Life

When should you use a rotary vane vacuum pump?

If you are looking for a high-performance vacuum pump at a low cost, we recommend you consider a rotary vane vacuum pump.

Rotary vane vacuum pumps are small, compact, and can reach a rough vacuum level. They are particularly effective for aqueous samples and high-boiling solvents. Vapors can be captured before they even come into contact with the pump. Rotary vane vacuum pumps require oil to operate. The presence of oil ensures perfect airtightness, constant and efficient lubrication of the moving parts, and excellent heat dissipation for cooling the vacuum pump.

However, to ensure efficient operation of the pump, regular maintenance should be organized. One of the disadvantages is the need to regularly change the oil in order to reduce the risk of wear. It is recommended to change it every 3,000 hours of use.

Knowledge About Vacuum Pump

The Advantage of Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump

Water ring vacuum pump, compared with other types of mechanical vacuum pumps, such as rotary vane vacuum pumps, and rotary piston vacuum pumps, has the following advantages:

1. Simple structure, manufacturing accuracy is not high, easy processing.

2. Compact structure, the vacuum pump rotary is higher and can generally be directly connected to the motor, with no need for a gearbox device. So with the small structure, you can get large displacement, covering an area of small also.

3. Basically, compressed gas is isothermal. Namely, the process of compressed gas temperature change is minimal.

4. Because no metal friction pump cavity surface, the pump inside is without lubrication, and wear and tear is negligible. The water seal can directly seal between the rotating and stationary parts.

5. Breath in uniform, stable, reliable work with simple operation and easy maintenance.

Vacuum Pump Work Principle

According to the working principle of vacuum pumps, vacuum pumps can be divided into two types: trapping gas transfer pumps and gas pumps. A gas transfer pump is a way for continuous suction and discharge of gas to achieve the purpose of vacuum pumping. A gas pump is a kind of trap in that the gas molecules are adsorbed or condensed on the inner surface of the pump, thus reducing the number of gas molecules inside the container to achieve the purpose of the vacuum pump exhaust.

Differences Between Single Stage And Double Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump

Single-stage rotary vane vacuum pump and double rotary vane vacuum pump lubrication method is the fundamental difference between their different scope of application. Rather than the double rotary vane vacuum pump having the ability to produce ultimate low pressure, the double rotary vacuum pump’s inefficient fractionation effect makes it more suitable for working under low intensity (less than one Torr).

The decomposition of oil pollution from the final appears in the oil level in the atmosphere, and its effect on the performance of the first level is not too significant, which means that the two oil changes over a long time can work satisfactorily. Using gas ballast will help to get the oil purification effect, and at the entrance of the pump, it will only add a few parts per thousand Torr; partial pressure of air simultaneously reduces the noise at work.

Even in the absence of town gas, the double rotary vane vacuum pump noise level is generally lower than the single-stage rotary vane vacuum pump. The high rate of oil flow in the atmospheric level of hydraulic noise in the high vacuum stage does not exist. The low oil flow rate makes the double rotary vane vacuum pump suitable for working under intense pressure and not for continuous work under high pressure.

For large gas mass flow, when the high vacuum level runs out of the oil reservoir, oil is not backwashed into the pump chamber in the face of solid turbulence. So, when it must be under intense pressure (about l0Torr above) and continues to work, it should be mandatory to provide oil for lubrication.

Single-stage rotary vane vacuum pump lubrication system is based on the differential principle; it is in less than 500-600 torr under pressure and can work well. When the inlet pressure is higher, the oil gas reflux blocks the flow of oil, and only mandatory crude in more than 500 torrs under the pressure of work continuously. Single-stage rotary vane vacuum pumps usually consider setting up air and gas separators when dealing with significant mass denier flow rates.
